Course Description

The programme is for those with an interest in the English language and linguistics, including some or all of the following: How to describe, analyse and research language The study of English as a medium of communication in the contemporary world, e.g. the English used in social networking, text and instant messaging The relationship between language, society and culture The teaching and learning of English as a foreign and/or second language The use of English and other languages in multicultural communities The psychology of language, language processing and language disabilities More information about the programme, lecturers, experiences of students and what graduates have gone on to do can be found on the BA ELL study page.
