Aviation Systems Engineering and Management - Maintenance B.Eng

Course Description

The study course in Aviation System Technology and Management for Maintenance Engineers ILST-MT takes the need for a specialisation in the area of maintenance into consideration already in its degree course. The close follow-up of the international dual study course ILST for traffic aeroplane controllers ensures the earlier co-operation between two fields of occupation, which must work very close together in their careers. Students thereby discover and practice this necessary specialised close proximity already in the training. For the bundling and goal-oriented application of specialised competencies, the study course is offered by a team, which is comprised of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences as the responsible higher college and the partner technical colleges of Aachen and Lufthansa Technical Training. In this way, Lufthansa Technical Training incorporates education-specific experiences and content into the study course. The training takes place at the location areas of the three partners, in stringent chronological and specialisation-specific order. The internationally recognised Degree ‘Bachelor of Engineering’ in engineering science is awarded. The modular formation of the study programme and the application of the ECTS system also ensures the connection to the European educational system.
