This is a practical course and you will gain skills in a variety of areas including Mechanical Engineering Processes, Bench Fitting, Lathe Work, Measurements and Calculations, and Health & Safety. The course will provide you with the theory and knowledge that underpins the competences learnt. On successful completion of the course you will also achieve the City & Guilds Technical Certificate Level 1 course plus essential skills in Application of Number, Communications and ICT.

Employment in the Engineering/Mechanical Industry, progressing to more specialised courses such as PEO L2; It is recommended that learners without GCSE grades A*-C in Maths & English re-take these to support their progression.
