Applied Social Science BA(Hons)

Course Description

How do societies develop? Why are societies across the world so varied? Can we identify catalysts for change and predict future developments? As social scientists, we are passionate about exploring patterns of social relationships, challenging existing social structures and exposing exploitation. The Applied Social Science BA(Hons) encourages you to use the theories and debates of social science to engage with the world beyond university. Studying at our newest campus in Hastings, you will have the chance to do your own research and work in the local community, so you gain valuable work experience over the course of your studies. Taught in small classes, at a campus that has won awards for its levels of student support, you will be supported by staff with extensive social science expertise, and assigned a personal tutor for the duration of your time here.
