Course Description

Architectural Technology is about how buildings look and work. It's about problem solving and turning conceptual drawings into reality. It's about understanding design and the buildability of domestic and workplace structures. If you're a creative, inquisitive and practical person, then this degree is the ideal learning path for you. You'll graduate with skills that will enable you to design and manage construction projects, and be able to effectively communicate technical intentions with a wide range of industry colleagues, construction specialist, clients, the public, and statutory authorities. You may opt to spend a placement year in industry. This will significantly enhance your engineering skills and your CV. This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and the Chartered Institute of Building. Recent graduates have gone on into roles in design offices, major contractors, architectural practices. Some students have gone on to undertake further research and study.
