Accounting is a growing field with opportunities available in areas such as public accounting, business and industry (corporate), government, not-for-profit, and education. Becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), can open additional doors like higher salary potential and promotion possibilities in this exciting field. Obtaining this certification will increase the respect and credibility you will receive from business associates, clients, and employers. At Judson College, you can prepare to sit for the CPA Exam by fulfilling all education qualifications required by the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy. You may earn a major in Business Administration with a minor in accounting to satisfy the education requirements of becoming a CPA or pursuing graduate study. As you prepare for a career in accounting, you’ll realize how important work experience is to employers. Judson’s accounting program allows you the opportunity to earn elective credit and gain valuable real-world experience through internships in accounting.
