Course Description

Judson College mathematics majors and minors have a strong history of success. Our students enter a variety of graduate programs including mathematics, mathematics education, medicine, law, library science, and religion. Former graduates are college professors, high school teachers, engineers, physicians, computer analysts, pharmacists, dentists, librarians, and systems analysts. At Judson, mathematics classes have a small student/teacher ratio. Upper-level mathematics classes generally have fewer than ten students. There is ample time for individual help from the professors. For students interested in teaching, our Education Department offers mathematics majors the opportunity to become certified as secondary school mathematics teachers. Advanced students who enjoy mathematics may gain leadership and mentoring experience by working for the mathematics department as tutors at math labs.
