The Bachelor of Business and Environmental Science is available on campus in Townsville and also in Singapore, so our Australian students have the opportunity to study some subjects at JCU’s new campus in Singapore. The subjects you study in Singapore are fully transferable to your Australian degree. Core subjects provide a solid grounding in business and environmental science topics. You can then choose from an exciting range of elective subjects, including: business environmental science marine science aquaculture ecology. Aquaculture is a fast-growing primary production industry that requires experts both at home and overseas. If you elect to study the aquaculture major, you will focus on tropical species, conservation, ecosystems, biodiversity and sustainable practices. Our experienced staff deliver hands-on aquaculture teaching practices in modern facilities such as temperature-controlled rooms and laboratories.

Our graduates pursue a broad range of business careers, and with a major in aquaculture, you can find job opportunities in aquaculture production, environmental policy, marine resource management, and aquaculture marketing and business management. With further studies in Science, graduates can pursue careers as aquaculture specialists, supervisors, technical managers or operations managers. These positions can involve operating hatcheries, overseeing harvest and post-harvest activities, developing stock nutrition programs, and many other aligned industries servicing aquaculture. Graduates can work as environmental advisers to businesses, advisers on the use of natural resources, academics, and consultants.
