You will undertake supervised, practical, placements to develop your professional skills.You will work with experienced sport and exercise professionals, athletes, and members of the community. JCU students have access to world-class technical, training and testing facilities, including the Sport & Exercise Science (SES) movement analysis laboratory, which is located on our Townsville campus. It is dedicated to the understanding of biomechanics and neuromuscular control processes that underline human movement.

This exciting combination of disciplines will position you with the health science expertise to pursue a career as a professional working with sporting and health promotion organisations, health clubs, sports training, community health, and rehabilitation. Psychology is a part of all industries – helping to understand the many factors that influence how people think and why they behave the way they do provides business with vital information that can be used to sell products, reach target markets and resolve disputes. This course is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council. Upon completion of an approved/accredited additional year of full time study, students may apply for provisional registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
