Course Description

Marine Science involves the study of the ocean, its ecosystems and life forms, and includes coastal environments, ocean currents and the sea floor. It brings together the elements of marine biology, oceanography, marine geosciences and environmental management As a world leader in marine science research, we are home to six of the world’s top ten coral reef biologists. So while you study you will already be: Managing human impact on marine environments Understanding the world’s ocean resources Protecting Australia’s marine reserves Safeguarding the world’s largest natural resource. Our world-class marine science facilities will have you: Working on Orpheus Island research station or aboard research vessels Researching on-site at coral reefs, islands, seagrass beds and mangroves Studying in advanced research aquariums, laboratories or international universities.
