CU’s Bachelor of Information Technology combines a solid basis of computing theory with practical knowledge and skills in software, software engineering, multimedia, databases and networking. After completing first-year core subjects, you select a major from: Business Informatics; Computing and Networking; or Interactive Technologies and Games Design. The course includes opportunities for hands-on experience with internships at local businesses and organisations. The learning environment is friendly and open, with ample small-group tutorials and hands-on practical sessions in the laboratories. JCU has excellent computing facilities, with 24-hour labs in Cairns and Townsville.
