Course Description

Automotive engineering generally leads the field in the development of materials and manufacturing techniques; as well as in the application of computer software programs within the design process and in the vehicles themselves. This course is designed for the aspiring automotive engineer who wishes to work at the forefront of automotive technology. If you have a background in mechanical, manufacturing and engineering systems, or a closely related science discipline, such as chemical, applied sciences or industrial design, then this is the course for you. This course will equip you with the advanced practical skills and expert knowledge needed to succeed in the industry. You will be taught by staff who are leading experts in their field and supported by an excellent range of industry standard equipment, including an open plan design studio equipped with design and analysis software and an advanced automotive laboratory with vehicle and engine test facilities including a four-post ride simulator, wind tunnel and thermal imaging facilities.
