Architecture/Architecture (International) (RIBA Part 1) BA(Hons)

Course Description

You are creative, inquisitive, and above all, fascinated by the way people adapt their spaces to suit their demands and their taste. That is why you are reading this course description. And you have made a good start, because this course is radical in its approach to the design of beautiful, humane and sustainable spaces. There are two strands to the course, Architecture and Architecture (International) and both will give you an opportunity to explore the regional, cultural, ethical and environmental issues that underpin appropriate responsive architecture. The International strand provides a unique option to do this through an extended field study visit to a non-European location. Recent visits have included Vietnam, Malaysia, India and China. The course produces graduates able to undertake creative design within the built environment, as well as progressing to the next stage of an architectural education.
