Human Biology is a challenging course. Principles covered relate to contemporary issues, emphasising factors that may affect people’s health and how they interact with and affect their own environment. You will consider up-to-date concerns and issues, with particular emphasis on UK and urban perspectives. You will also come to appreciate the importance of all aspects of the global environment and the necessity to achieve sustainability to ensure the continuation of the human race. The specification provides an opportunity for developing and assessing the Key Skills in: Communication; Contribution to group discussion; Making a presentation; Reading and synthesising information; Writing reports.
