Course Description

The Master of Social Work (Qualifying) provides a comprehensive and advanced understanding of contemporary issues and the future directions in social work practice and the profession of social work. Graduates develop a broad social work knowledge base, and are well prepared to professionally and actively navigate this complex profession and practice settings, with strong industry recognition. The course comprises a significant practical component in the form of two field education placements. This course is a two-year postgraduate coursework masters degree that enables current human and community service and applied health workers to update their professional experience with knowledge and skills for the social work discipline. This is an Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) provisionally accredited qualification.
