Course Description

The Bachelor of Counselling provides a comprehensive overview of counselling frameworks and skills, ethical practice and cultural diversity. The course provides entry level counselling training with a strong focus on contemporary counselling, psychotherapy and psychology theory, research and practice. The Bachelor of Counselling degree includes a professional placement totalling 250 hours, which includes 46 hours of counselling client contact. This degree is accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), the peak body for counselling and psychotherapy in Australia, and gives you the practical skills and theoretical foundation you need to work as a counsellor.
