Master of Psychology (Clinical) Quick course guide National CRICOS Course Code: 074848F Course length: 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Study modes: On-campus in Sydney Units: 16 Course Overview ACAP’s Master of Psychology (Clinical) provides the fifth and sixth year sequence of professional training in psychology required for general registration as a psychologist in Australia. Graduates of this course will be eligible for endorsement as clinical psychologists after completing a further two years of supervised full-time equivalent practice. The program equips graduates with the knowledge, skills, attributes and competencies they need to be able to undertake professional practice in a range of clinical settings with diverse client populations. The Master of Psychology (Clinical) includes coursework, independent research leading to the submission of a thesis and practical placements. Students complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of practical/skills training at our on-campus clinic as well as external locations. This course is conditionally accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), the body that set the standards for psychology education in Australia.

Psychology graduates build careers in areas where knowledge of psychology and well‑developed research and writing skills are valued, such as health and social welfare, social policy and research, market research, human services, disability and ageing, mental health services, juvenile justice, immigration and refugee support services.
