Graduates of this course will be eligible for endorsement as clinical psychologists after completing a further two years of supervised full-time equivalent practice. The program equips graduates with the knowledge, skills, attributes and competencies they need to be able to undertake professional practice in a range of clinical settings with diverse client populations. The Master of Psychology (Clinical) includes coursework, independent research leading to the submission of a thesis and practical placements. Students complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of practical/skills training at our on-campus clinic as well as external locations. This course is conditionally accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), the body that set the standards for psychology education in Australia.
