There is a national shortage of certified high school biology teachers. Consequently, all Evangel Biology Education graduates obtain teaching positions. We offer two plans to certify biology teachers: Biology Certification (grades 9-12) and Unified Science Certification in Biology (grades 9-12). The biology certificate qualifies students to teach high school biology. The unified science program with a biology certificate allows students to teach any high school biology course, plus the first courses in high school chemistry, earth science and physics. Some students find the increased versatility of the unified science: biology program worth the additional coursework.
