The Art concentration consists of 30 credits. Students begin by taking fundamental drawing and design courses, as well as three survey courses in Art History, for a total of 21 hours. The remaining nine hours may be from any area in the department. For example, a student interested in painting could progress to Painting III – an advanced painting course – to fulfill the elective credits.

The Art concentration works well with any field requiring creative communication skills – such as Advertising or Marketing. Students in Digital Arts and other areas involving Electronic Media and Film benefit from a strong foundation in the visual arts.
