Bachelor of Nursing (Hons)(Learning Disabilities)

Course Description

You will study a mixture of Generic (Adult, Mental Health and Child) and Learning Disability modules over three years. This means you will have the skills to provide a basic level of care to all groups and specialist care for Learning Disability groups. Career outcomes

Students on the learning disability nursing degree could spend 15 weeks studying in Finland, Portugal, Cyprus or Germany. There are opportunities within the BN/BM programmes to undertake elective placements in the UK or abroad. The cost of travel and accommodation will be borne by the student. Learning disability nurses could work in local healthcare trusts, private providers as well as educational, charitable and voluntary providers. Graduates could also work abroad in New Zealand and in the Republic of Ireland.
