During the year, you will study a selection of contemporary business modules and law modules with an emphasis on employability within today’s organisations. These would include Commercial and Consumer Law and European Business Environment. In addition, there is an opportunity to undertake a dissertation on a legal subject of your choice. Assessment You will be assessed through course work and examinations. Some course work is group-based and some examinations are open book, with others based on case studies.

This course is intended to provide you with a range of career opportunities. Typically this may include junior or middle management positions or alternatively within the legal departments of public authorities and large companies or legal practices. Some students may pursue a legal career and many students also opt to study a post graduate programme offered at Newport, such as our MBA (Master of Business Administration).
