The environmental management of civil engineering projects is of increasing importance throughout the world, so demand for qualified environmental managers is growing. This course is accredited for the Further Learning Programme (formerly ‘Matching Sections’) at Chartered Engineer (CEng) level by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), and the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE). The course has been embedded for Chartered Engineer (CEng) level by the Institution of Civil Engineers. Having the ICE CEng requirements embedded on our MSc means that for those working, we are able to identify individual requirements for a tailor-made route towards CEng status early, and therefore accelerate the remaining steps by working with the employer in the process. This applies to students who begin studying in September and February. The course will broaden your knowledge and develop the key skills and management expertise you need to manage civil engineering projects and implement environmentally sustainable solutions. You will also get to explore theoretical, analytical and practical matters in depth.
