The key areas you will study are live and recorded performance; technology and performance (including radio and video production); the context and history of drama; TV and Radio presentation, and methods of analysis. Performance modules will give you an awareness of contemporary performance practice on stage and screen. In production modules you will study the range of technical skills needed to make creative content for films, television and radio programmes. The following modules are attached to this award: * Performance and Media Practice 1 * Introduction to Drama, Performance and Media * Technology and Performance * Text and Performance Analysis: methods and vocabularies In addition to the modules listed above, you will also study ‘Enhancing Academic Success’ which aims to develop and support academic skills and facilitate an effective transition to Higher Education. Areas covered include academic writing, observational skills, critical thinking and analysis.
