Course Description

In Year 1 students are asked to examine in broad terms these areas of study before selecting areas for specialist study at Year 2 and going on to extend these specialisms in independent major project work at Year 3. Student will have to choose particular pathways from the available options. The programme of study for BA (Hons) Performing Arts will include: Year One * Black Box * Aspects of Acting * Naturalism * Contemporary Movement Practice * Acting for the Camera * Genre in Filma and Television Year Two * Physical Theatre * Shakespeare on Film * European Drama * Multi-media Performance * Acting for Voice * Post-War British Theatre Year Three * Professional Performance Project * Graduate Showcase Project * Performing Arts Dissertation

Performance and Performing Arts graduates have a wide range of skills, which can be applied in a number of employment contexts.
