BA (Hons) Performance and Media

Course Description

The key areas you will study are live and recorded performance; technology and performance (including radio and video production); the context and history of drama; TV and Radio presentation, and methods of analysis. Performance modules will give you an awareness of contemporary performance practice on stage and screen. In production modules you will study the range of technical skills needed to make creative content for films, television and radio programmes. In years two and three the course is based on your own choices within flexible options. You might choose Scriptwriting (for stage, screen and radio); Radio (drama and production); various aspects of Stage Performance; Fiction Film Making; Applied Drama; as well as modules on specialist subjects that reflect the research interests of senior staff. Students may also choose to spend year two studying abroad.
