This course will prepare you for a variety of careers in the Health and Social Care setting. You will develop a wide variety of health and social care skills, including in Early Years. This course combines work experience with theoretical study, giving you the skills and confidence you need to succeed in the Health and Social Care sector. A combination of work experience and employment throughout the course will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable insight into a variety of work settings within the educational, social, health and welfare services. Every effort will be made to find placements local to the student’s home and appropriate to the future chosen career of the student.

Completion of the first year of the course results in 120 points at Level 4 (HNC). Completion of the second year of the course results in 120 points at Level 5 (HND), which can be part of a BA Degree in a variety of subjects including: Education, Health and Social Care or Child and Youth Studies.
