This is a one year course which will encourage learners to develop and enhance the basic life skills and provide some of the underpinning knowledge and understanding for the National Occupational Standards (NOS), as well as developing practical skills in preparation for work and achievement of QCF (Qualification Credit Framework) credit awards. There is potential for the qualification to prepare learners for employment in a particular vocational sector and it is suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a specific area of study.
