This is an academic work-related course that will introduce you to the Early Years sector and provide a good base to move onto a more advanced work-related qualification.

Following completion of this one-year course and providing you meet the entry requirement for these courses, you may consider progressing onto Level 2 qualifications, such as the BTEC First Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (Level 2), BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or NVQ Level 2 in Children's Care, Learning and Development or NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care (upon securing employment in these sectors). To comply with legislation and national minimum standards, all learners will be screened by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).
