Course Description

The Degree Programme in Biomedical Engineering supplies students with a solid preparation in basic sciences such as mathematics, physics, computer science, biochemistry, chemistry and materials along with an expertise in applied biomedical sciences such as biomechanics, biomaterials, bioelectronics, biosensors, biosignal processing. An overall preparation connected to the field of Information and Industrial Engineering is also supplied in order to respond more effectively to the needs of multidisciplinary typical areas in which the Biomedical Engineer works.

Graduates of the Programme in Biomedical Engineering will be able to demonstrate: - knowledge of basic sciences such as mathematics and physics - basic knowledge of biochemistry, chemistry and materials - basic knowledge of Information and Industrial Engineering sciences such as mechanics, electronics, computer science. - advanced knowledge of biomechanics and biomaterials - advanced knowledge of bioelectronics, biosensors and biosignal processing. - ability in problem solving using computer (use of matlab)
