Communication Design covers a broad range of skills, knowledge and career options, all centred around the design of visual communication for print, screen, space and interactive. Our BA (Hons) Communication Design has four pathways which all share a common first and second year. After completing your first year of foundation studies, year two introduces the basics of visual communication design, including Graphic Design, Typography, Colour, Illustration and Photography. It also introduces you to communication media in a holistic manner. You then choose your pathway and specialise in your third and fourth year, developing in-depth knowledge and skills that are focused on the specific area of Design where you will begin your professional career.
