The B.A (Hons.)Jewellery Design programme commenced in 2005 as a full time course with an objective to develop this fraternity as successful career option, as a growing number of aspirants are now striving to pursue this career option, and at the same time have the opportunity to earn an internationally recognized degree that will open up future options not only in terms of a lucrative and satisfying career but also for higher studies in allied fields. The duration of the program is 4 years. The course intervenes to hone and develop specific context and individual expression in each graduate against their own learning blocks.Since, the course is offered at Jaipur which is a rich centre of vibrant culture and cultural heritage and one of the biggest colour stone processing centre and jewelry manufacturing and trading hub of the country, the course team tried to take benefit of it and planned various pockets of interaction for students to get gained from it. The program leverages from these rich metaphors and appropriately dovetails the learning schemes at appropriate junctures to be able to help them imbibe contextual learning through it.
