Course Description

The Outdoor Power Equipment program trains students to service and repair a wide variety of equipment such as motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, lawn and garden equipment, chain saws and generators. If you have an interest in working on small engines and mechanical and electrical systems, you will enjoy this program. Training includes two- and four-stroke engines, fuel delivery, electrical and electronics, mechanical systems and powertrains. Students learn welding and metal cutting, and become well-versed in computers, mathematics, reading and communication skills, along with skills specific to the trade. Safe work practices will be taught and reinforced throughout the program to develop the habits required to keep you safe and productive throughout your career. Students who complete the nine-month program may be eligible for apprenticeship credit.
