Course Description

The Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Repair and Overhaul Technology program works closely with PEI’s aerospace industry to ensure that students graduate with the appropriate skills. In this program you will learn the techniques, procedures and the documentation requirements necessary to perform the disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly and testing of the turbine engines used to power today’s aircraft. The program consists of approximately 60% practical and 40% theory. Hands-on, practical training is carried out on a variety of turbine engines including the Pratt and Whitney 100 series turbine engine used on the deHavilland Dash 8 aircraft, the Pratt and Whitney PT6 engine and the Rolls Royce 250 engine.
