This program enables students to develop and use sound management strategies in a variety of business settings. From leading the development of human resource management practices in small to medium-sized businesses to working seamlessly in larger organizations, the program provides students with the skills needed to attract, retain, and develop talent effectively. Upon completing this program, students will be more effective in leading and supporting the HRM function, whether formalized in a business as a dedicated position/department or not. Students gain proficiency in current HRM practices to attract, train, and develop talent within an organization. It is expected that their leadership and decision-making skills will also develop, as this is a critical trait of any human resource professional. This program is designed for individuals who may already be working in the field or wish to develop their skills as professionals to become more involved with the HRM function. The program will be offered with a mix of evening on-campus sessions and independent projects facilitated by an instructor.

Graduates of this program will be qualified to seek employment in a variety of business settings that require support and leadership in managing talent in an organization. From larger human resources departments or firms to smaller entrepreneurial ventures, graduates of this program will possess the skills to be effective team members.
