This programme covers both pure and applied maths and will develop your understanding of mathematics and mathematical processes, and your ability to reason logically and recognise reasoning. You will also extend your range of mathematical skills and techniques and use them to work on more difficult, unstructured problems. This qualification can be studied on its own or combined with other AS/A levels or a vocational qualification.

AS LEVEL - You may be able to: Top up your AS Level into a full A Level/Advanced GCE Award. AS/A LEVEL - Both AS and A Level qualifications can be used to qualify you to study for a related degree or other Higher Education programme. AS/A Level Mathematics is useful for many degree programmes, particularly those in Science, Technology, Computing and Engineering. Career opportunities may be advanced.
