This A Level combines practical and theoretical elements and includes regular investigations in the laboratory. The A Level will provide you with a solid grounding in key concepts including chemical bonding, materials, the periodic table and practical research. This programme can be taken either as a standalone qualification or combined with other A Levels or a vocational qualification.

This course could lead to a career related to chemistry, such as research, medicine, forensic science, biochemistry or pharmacology. The A Level can be used to progress to university, along with other A Level subjects.
