Course Description

Economics is the study of how individuals and organizations make choices and how those choices determine the way resources are used. Choices matter because society’s resources, whether capital, natural resources or people’s time, are scarce. Economists study the problem of choice using a scientific approach; they systematically explore economic problems both by developing theories and examining data. • Three and four-year (Honours) programs lead to a Bachelor of Arts in Economics • Wide range of courses include financial, international, health, statistical and mathematical economics • Students learn rigorous thinking techniques and gain an understanding of how society works; they also examine psychological behaviours and motivations associated with economics • Small classes, helpful professors and a friendly environment are all conducive to better learning
