This includes moving and handling resources, installing components, erecting structural carcassing components, setting up and using circular saws and conforming to general workplace safety. Assessment takes place during the course by exams, a Health and Safety on-line test and practical assessments.

Employment options and a good grounding to go on to a more advanced course, such as an Advanced Carpentry NVQ Level 3 or BTEC National Certificate in Construction.
