This is a very practical programme giving the student a basic understanding of child care alongside a range of practical activities. Industry visits may be used to further develop knowledge. Learners may be offered the opportunity to gain vital industry qualifications such as first aid. The Award and Certificate do not qualify the student to work with children, but they are a step towards further education and training in the child care area.
