Digital media is a dynamic and exciting industry with the ability to transfer between domestic and commercial contexts, with a variety of ever-changing online and mobile devices. The rapidly accelerating presence of changing technologies in our lives has inspired a new wave of designers, making it an exciting time to join the industry. WelTec’s Digital Media programme includes both graphic and traditional technologies. Graphics follows the evolution of static, two dimensional print media into an expanded range of visual communication via multimedia and interactive applications. Digital media explores the range of communication – from simple television advertisements to complex multi-platform marketing packages, from short-films to abstract animations. Within the Digital Media major, you are able to choose a specialist area of focus from Print, Animation, Digital Film and Television and Photography.

Opportunities exist for graduates – equipped with both creative inspiration and technical ability in digital media – within the fields of film and television, web and graphic design and marketing. You could work as a freelance practitioner or as part of a team in a wide range of collaborative environments.
