This programme will provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide competent and safe nursing practice. You will have the opportunity to integrate theory and practice through clinical practice within a hospital and health care facility. On completion of this programme, you can apply to the Nursing Council of New Zealand for registration as a nurse, which allows you direct entry into the nursing profession following successful completion of the Nursing State final exam.

The Bachelor of Nursing may lead to employment as a Registered Nurse in private or public hospitals, in the mental health sector, in independent practice, the defence services, as a Nursing Lecturer, a Medical representative, Health Consultant or Administrator, a Community Nurse, or a Speciality Nurse. You could also choose to continue with postgraduate study.
