The National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Electrician for Registration) (Level 4) completes your pathway towards becoming a registered Electrician. It will provide you with a balance of theory and practical education that will assist you in developing both practical ability and diagnostic skills. The programme is only available part-time and meets the requirements for an industry training agreement. Training agreements are available through both the Electricity Supply Industry Training Organisation (ESITO) and The Skills Organisation who manage apprenticeship agreements with employers.

The National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Electrician for Registration) (Level 4) may lead to employment as an Electrician or in the fields of electrical appliance servicing, electronics servicing, electronic security and industrial measurement and control. You may also choose to continue onto study towards the National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Level 5) and the National Diploma in Electrotechnology (Level 6).
