This is the entry to all electrical trade qualifications. It provides you with the fundamental knowledge of the principles of electricity, magnetism, mathematics and mechanics and the application of these to various work practices including testing, soldering and wiring installations, safety and first aid, and employment rights and responsibilities. As of May 2014 students will learn in a brand new, purpose built trades and engineering facility on the Rotokauri Campus. This facility will provide learning opportunities that even better reflects industry standards and uses the latest techniques and technologies.

This programme is run to the requirements of The Skills Organisation and the Electrical Supply Training Organisation (ESITO). Your tutorial staff on this programme are all registered electricians with many years trade experience.
