Computer science and engineering deals with the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software. Students in this innovative program explore the interaction between modern computer science and related technologies and the mathematical and design principles of engineering from which today's computers have evolved. UT's computer science and engineering program takes a unique look at hardware and software. Students have access to many computer facilities and resources that include the University Computing Center, as well as many college and departmental computer laboratories. In addition, the program provides students with a solid foundation in mathematics, science and engineering. All of UT's engineering students participate in a minimum of three semesters of co-operative education — which means you'll work full time gaining valuable real-world experience while earning money.
