Course Description

About the Drama (B.A.) Program Theatre and dramatic arts programs at the U of L offer the excitement of live theatre in combination with studies in literature, acting, design, and technical production. Academic and practical experiences prepare you to be imaginative, flexible, adaptable, and creative as well as equip you to enter the entertainment industry, graduate studies, or a variety of other professions. You'll study theatre history, theory and criticism, performance and production, and participate in a series of major theatre productions annually. The Bachelor of Arts (Dramatic Arts) degree is a general program that requires a minimum of 13 drama courses and allows you to explore other areas of study within the Fine Arts and Humanities. As a Bachelor of Arts (Dramatic Arts) student, you can take up to 20 drama courses. Interested in a more in-depth study of the dramatic arts? Consider the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dramatic Arts), it requires 24- 27 drama classes and students may choose from one of the following three majors: Performance Technical/Design
