About the Bachelor of Arts (Music) program Music (BA) students cultivate the areas of music that interest them most - performance, history and theory. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Music) degree may choose from one of two streams: Theory/History and General. The Theory/History Stream allows students to understand composition and delve deeper into the development of music. The General Stream focuses more on the performance and composition aspects of musical development. A vital component of this is the music studio courses which are one-on-one sessions with a professor designed to hone and build students proficiency as musicians. Students also gain group performance credit by participating in ensembles that are selected according to their instrument.
