Course Description

The major in business economics develops your ability to analyze the economic environment in which a business operates, understand how the economic environment affects the organization’s pursuit of its goals and apply economic logic to understand the organization’s decision making. As you study business economics, you will develop a strong foundation through core business courses such as accounting, business ethics, decision sciences, finance, management, management information systems, marketing and operations management. Additional required courses in intermediate microeconomics or managerial economics; econometrics or business and economic forecasting; a senior seminar in applied economics; economics electives and a concentration in another business discipline provide an integrated, multifaceted approach to the career world. The School of Business Administration’s undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
