Certificate IV in Community Services Work

Course Description

This program is designed to prepare students to work at a professional level in the human services industry, in such areas as community organisations, traditional community church organisations, self-help organisations and statutory services. Delivery is on-campus with industry fieldwork. Field work/experience is an integral part of the training. Workers in this role are usually also involved in service delivery, either direct client work and/or health promotion and community development projects. Workers at this level are required to have an understanding of Indigenous culture and history and to work with local communities in the provision of services.
