There are 2 routes offered within this qualification. You can choose from an epilation route or aromatherapy route, this will be discussed at the pre course presentation. This course covers facial and body electricals, head and body massage, retail and finance and specialist Dermalogica training. You’ll practise what you learn in The Retreat, our commercial beauty salon which simulates a real work environment. You may also have the opportunity to undertake work placement one day a week in the beauty industry, and to visit a beauty exhibition, such as Olympia in London. You will work with a variety of professional ranges – NSI, Dermalogica, Eve Taylor and Jessica nail treatments. There will be 9.00 am starts and at least one late night.

The career opportunities are endless within beauty therapy; you can work locally, nationally or internationally in this profession. Sail the world on the cruise ships, work in a high end spa, represent skin care companies and travel around the country. Be your own boss and set up a business or go mobile. With some experience you could pass your skills onto budding students and teach either privately or in FE colleges.
