Course Description

The overall aim of the BA Honours programme is to promote opportunities to develop individual management and business acumen. The programme will add value by assisting in developing in individuals an enhanced self awareness and self knowledge which will allow them to acquire an integrated view of management within organisations; this will assist their efficiency and effectiveness in managerial output. Additionally the programme will allow opportunities for students to develop lifelong independent and reflective learning capabilities. The BA Honours programme also aims to produce open minded, rigorous thinkers with the ethical compass and leadership skills needed to navigate this complex modern world. It aims to provide students with up-to-date knowledge, a range of theoretical tools and frameworks, and the analytical skills and the practical understanding to enable them to meet its challenges. It explores every aspect of business, including; the factors that drive firms to develop and grow; the tools they use to market their offerings; the challenges of managing people; the challenges of leading organisations and the promotion of the firm ethical standards that research has shown to be the foundation of enduring success in modern business. It does this from the perspective of both large and small firms.
